Hoofddorp, Netherlands, May 2026:
Murata Manufacturing Co., Ltd will showcase its latest innovations in power electronics at this year’s PCIM exhibition, running from 9th to 11th June at the Nuremberg Messe. Visitors to the stand (Hall 9 - 404) will see Murata’s latest power innovations, from generation to application, for robotics, e-mobility, and energy infrastructure.

High Isolation Gate Drive Converters Enabling Safer, Faster Switching

Murata will launch its MGJ1T series of 1W isolated DC-DC converters at PCIM, targeting engineers designing inverters for energy storage, motor drives and industrial automation. Developed using Murata’s proprietary block-coil transformer technology and manufactured in the UK, the compact surface-mount devices address rising demands for higher voltages and faster switching in SiC-based systems.

IPaS™ Technology* Integrates Passives to Unlock High Density and Efficiency

Designed to meet the growing demands of high-performance computing, AI and advanced power applications, Murata’s Integrated Package Solution (IPaS™) technology embeds passive components directly into the PCB substrate. By integrating capacitors and inductors at board level, iPaS enables highly compact, customisable vertical power supply architectures that support increasing current densities while reducing overall system size.

This approach shortens power delivery paths and lowers parasitic impedance, improving power integrity and enabling faster, more efficient operation. The result is enhanced electrical performance, reduced energy loss and greater design flexibility, allowing engineers to optimise layouts for next-generation, high-speed and high-power systems while maintaining reliability in increasingly complex environments.

Ultra-Thin, High-Efficiency Power Conversion for 48V Architectures

Murata’s MYC0409 UltraCP™ is a non-isolated DC-DC converter module designed for high-performance systems such as data centres, networking equipment and AI hardware. Based on Murata’s proprietary charge pump technology, the fully integrated module converts 48V inputs to lower voltages with a fixed divide-by-four ratio, supporting distributed power architectures while reducing design complexity. An evaluation module is also available, enabling faster testing and integration.

Delivering up to 72W of output power with peak efficiency of around 96.5%, the ultra-thin module (11.5mm × 9.5mm × 2.1mm) enables high power density in space-constrained designs. Replacing traditional intermediate bus converters reduces power losses, lowers thermal load, and cuts noise, while requiring only minimal external components. The result is a compact, easy-to-implement solution that helps engineers improve overall system efficiency.

PoE Converters Simplify Isolated Power Design for Connected Devices

Murata’s MYBSP series of compact isolated DC-DC converters, including the new MYBSP00502ABFS, MYBSP00502ABFT and MYBSP00502ABFU, is designed for Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications such as IP cameras, wireless access points and VoIP systems. Supporting IEEE 802.3af standards with integrated detection and classification, the modules convert 37V to 57V inputs to regulated outputs, enabling simple, compliant PoE-powered device design.

Delivering up to 10W with 2.25kVDC isolation in a small surface-mount package, the converters combine PWM control with built-in protection features, including undervoltage lockout and current limiting. Murata’s sheet transformer technology further improves efficiency and reduces noise, allowing engineers to minimise external components, reduce power loss and accelerate development of reliable, space-constrained PoE systems.
